ICE RESCUE
Ice Rescue - 8 Hours
This class is divided so that the first four hours are spent in the classroom and four hours are then spent outside doing mock rescues and developing rescue skills. The classroom session covers rescuer safety, hypothermia, ice formation, types of ice, rescue equipment, and rescue techniques. The outdoor session will apply the subjects learned in the classroom to realistic scenarios on the ice. This includes self-rescue, reaching and throwing rescues, and one rescuer GO rescues.
